Lone Star Practice Partners helps independently owned veterinary practices strengthen operations, develop confident leaders, improve team communication, and create a more consistent experience for clients and staff.
Our support is grounded in more than 25 years of firsthand veterinary experience—from patient care and team leadership to practice management and daily operations.
Running a veterinary practice means balancing exceptional patient care with the operational and leadership demands that keep the hospital strong. Staffing, workflows, team communication, client expectations, financial performance, and daily decision-making all compete for time and attention.
Lone Star Practice Partners works alongside independent practice owners and leadership teams to bring greater structure, clarity, and consistency to these challenges, helping practices operate more effectively, strengthen their teams, and grow sustainably.

Provide practical remote training for veterinary technicians and assistants focused on documentation, client communication, workflow consistency, accountability, and follow-through.
Every engagement begins with understanding your practice, your people, your goals, what is working well, and where your team is experiencing the greatest pressure.
We evaluate the workflows, communication patterns, responsibilities, leadership practices, and operational systems shaping the daily experience of your team and clients.
We align with your leadership team on the improvements that can provide the greatest near-term relief and long-term value, then establish a clear and manageable plan.
We work alongside your team to implement practical changes, clarify ownership and expectations, and build stronger, more consistent processes into daily operations.
We provide ongoing support, accountability, and adjustments so improvements take hold, evolve with your practice’s needs, and do not become another short-term initiative that fades over time.
Operational challenges inside a veterinary practice are never just about systems and processes. They affect the owner’s carrying responsibility, the doctors delivering care, the team members managing the workload, the clients looking for answers, and the patients depending on all of them.
Our Founder and CEO, Heather Casoni, spent more than 25 years working inside veterinary clinics and hospitals. Her experience spans multiple roles—from veterinary technician and head technician to practice manager and hospital administrator—giving her a firsthand understanding of how a practice operates at every level.
Heather has personally experienced the staffing pressures, administrative demands, communication gaps, leadership challenges, and daily operational strain that many independent practices continue to face. That experience became the foundation of Lone Star Practice Partners and the reason we want to support as many of our independent veterinary neighbors across Texas as possible.
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Founder & Chief Executive Officer Heather Casoni is a veterinary operations and team-development leader with more than 25 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Her career has spanned hands-on patient care, leadership as a head veterinary technician, practice management, staff training, workflow development, and day-to-day hospital operations. This depth of experience gives Heather a comprehensive understanding of how clinical care, team performance, client communication, and operational systems must work together for a practice to succeed.
Throughout her career, Heather has helped veterinary professionals strengthen their skills, navigate demanding workloads, improve internal communication, and create more consistent standards of care and service. She understands the operational pressure facing independent practices because she has worked alongside the veterinarians, managers, technicians, assistants, and client-service teams responsible for delivering that care every day.
Heather founded Lone Star Practice Partners to provide independent veterinary practices with experienced, practical support tailored to their specific needs. She leads the company’s consulting and support services, helping practices improve workflows, reduce administrative strain, develop capable teams, strengthen leadership, and build sustainable systems that protect both patient care and practice culture.
